Biography

Doug McDonald is a Managing Director with over 20 years of investment banking experience on over 75 merger and acquisition, financing and restructuring advisory transactions. He leads Armory’s Food, Beverage & Agribusiness industry coverage.  Prior to the founding of Armory, he was employed with other senior professionals from Armory in the restructuring and special situations group at Seaport Group Securities, LLC and Oppenheimer & Co., Inc.  Prior to joining this team, he worked at Lehman Brothers and at Kerlin Capital Group where he executed over $9 billion of financing and M&A transactions for financial sponsors, business services and food industry companies.  In 2014, he was named a top 40 under 40 Dealmaker in the M&A, financing and restructuring industry by M&A Advisor.  Earlier in his career, Doug worked at UC Kearney Agricultural Research Station.  Doug is a Board Director of the California Rangeland Trust, a non-profit organization. Doug earned an M.B.A. from The Anderson School at UCLA and a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.
