Armory Group Strengthens Investment Banking and Advisory Service Offerings with Senior Hire

LOS ANGELES and CHICAGO, September 2017 – Peter Richter joins Armory as Managing Director, bringing notable investment banking and turnaround expertise to the company’s growing middle market practice. Based in Chicago, Peter has more than 20 years of experience serving companies across a variety of industries on M&A activities, capital raising, refinancing, restructuring and crisis management.

As an investment banker, Peter successfully closed transactions ranging from $15 million to $1.0 billion. He has represented both private and public clients in negotiating placements of debt and equity, raising private equity and secondary offerings, and fulfilling both sell-side and buy-side mergers & acquisitions mandates, in situations both out-of-court and under court supervision.

Peter also provides strategic advisory and interim management services to assist companies through periods of fundamental change. He has held numerous interim senior level positions, including both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer, driving initiatives to improve operations, grow revenue, and increase efficiency.

Peter previously served as the CFO to Mr. David’s Flooring International, where he successfully increased credit facilities by more than three times the original amounts. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President at Deloitte CRG and later became a Managing Director at Variant Capital Advisors, an affiliate of Conway MacKenzie. Peter received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Eastern Illinois University, is a Certified Turnaround Professional, and has won the M&A Advisor Deal of the Year Award for Industrial Goods and Basic Resources.
