Armory Securities, LLC is pleased to announce that the assets of Ostrom Mushroom Farms LLC have been acquired by Windmill Farms. Armory served as exclusive financial advisor to the sellers in the transaction.
Ostrom has been a leading agricultural producer of fresh, high-quality white, cremini and portobello mushrooms sold primarily to retail customers throughout the U.S. Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii. Located in Sunnyside, Washington, its state-of-the-art production facility utilizes modern, sustainable Dutch-style technology for year-round operation. Newly constructed in 2019, the facility is vertically integrated with its own compost production and 48 climate-controlled growing rooms with an annual mushroom production capacity of over 13 million pounds. The scope of the sale included a 43-acre site, buildings and infrastructure with ample area for expansion to double current production.
Windmill Farms is headquartered in Ontario, Canada and is one of the leading producers of premium-quality, organic mushrooms for customers in North America. Windmill Farms operates two state-of-the-art production facilities and is highly experienced with advanced modern Dutch-style technology systems. The Ostrom facility acquisition positions Windmill Farms to further expand its best-in-class operations and deliver larger quantities of fresh products year-round to North American customers from coast to coast.
